Episode 55: summer knits, bobbles & yokes!

Knitting wins, knitting fails, and everything in-between…This episode of my knitting podcast launches my very first sweater pattern – Sisymbrium! This was a fabulous collaborative project with Black Isle Yarns, a wonderful company in the Scottish highlands creating hand-dyed yarns using natural dyes and local fleeces. I give a glimpse at the design process behind creating this sweater pattern, for a very special and unusual wool yarn blend. (It involved a lot of swatching!)

I’ve also been making summer knitting plans, and playing with more new yarns. This has involved knitting fails as well as wins, so pour yourself something nice to drink & get knitting with me 🙂

Featured projects

My new sweater design is Sisymbrium, and the pattern is available to download & cast on now!

Other designs in the Herbalism collection are the Hawthorn Tincture shawl, Salvia hat and Oregano socks.
