There are lots of reasons to substitute yarns in knitting and crochet project. Perhaps the recommended yarn is unavailable, out of your budget, or you need to use a different fibre. This tutorial is a beginner’s guide to yarn substitution, gleaned from many years of practical experience and illustrated with examples of my own knitting & crochet projects.
