winter solstice design collaborations

Every year, I invite another knitwear designer to collaborate with me in designing a micro-collection of 4 knitting patterns for accessories that celebrate the Winter Solstice. This annual tradition has become a fantastic experience of finding new and exciting ways to combine different aesthetics, styles and approaches to design for hand-knitting.
Do you have a favourite designer who you’d love to nominate? Perhaps a yarn, fibre or knitting tradition you’d like me to try designing with? My Patreon supporters often contribute to my design work behind-the-scenes! Click here to find out more about getting involved
I love using design to learn about different wintery traditions around the world which celebrate light, from North to South, candles to stargazing. Here’s more about each collaboration, starting from the most recent.
