This tutorial teaches how to sew on 3 different types of buttons by hand. I learned this method whilst working in tailoring workshops, and it’s a brilliant sewing technique that’s fast, strong and neat. This tutorial is suitable for sewing buttons onto knits, cardigans and sweaters; and onto outerwear like jackets and coats. The buttons demonstrated are:
- Shank button
- 2-hole button
- 4-hole button
