Ice Pop Socks

The Ice Pop Socks use an eyelet lace pattern with twisted ribbing to provide maximum ventilation whilst keeping a snug fit. A cable twist cinches it in at the cuff, and the heel flap features a sweet broken rib texture with a garter-stitch edging.

Yarn

4-ply/fingering-weight sock yarn

Featured Yarn:
Trainer socks: CoopKnits Socks Yeah! (75% superwash wool 25% Nylon, 212m/231yd per 50g hank)
1 (1, 1, 2) hanks in shade N2 Krypton

Ankle socks: Qing Fibre Glitter Sock (75% superwash merino wool, 20% Nylon, 5% Stellina) 400m/437yd per 100g hank)
1 (1, 1, 1) hank in shade Caviar

Gauge

34 stitches & 46 rows = 10cm/4″ in stocking stitch in the round
Tension was achieved using size 2.5mm/US1.5 needles

Equipment

  • Your preferred needle type for knitting small circumferences in the round

  • 2.5mm/US1.5 knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge

  • Cable needle

  • Tapestry needle

Sizing

This pattern is multi-sized for 4 adult women’s shoe sizes between EUR36/UK3/US5 and EUR43/UK10/US12

Instructions are given for 2 sock lengths: shorter trainer socks, and longer ankle socks.
